Letter from the President
Dear Women in Auto Care,
Six months ago we announced our new committee chairs and 2017 goals. I’m thrilled to report that we’re making great progress on launching a new Women in Auto Care website, driving robust conference content, increasing fundraising efforts, kicking off a student coaching program, exploring continuous improvement opportunities on our mentor program and ramping up our marketing exposure. In an effort to put more focus on growth through recruiting and retaining members, we’re adding a fourth committee dedicated to “Membership.”
The application to serve on a committee is now open. During this application process we will also take applications for the newly-developed Membership Committee chair. More information is below.
I would also like to take this opportunity to announce that Lisa Rodriguez has decided to step down as Member Development Committee chair. Lisa was an integral part of our team and led our efforts in rebranding. We look forward to her future contributions to Women in Auto Care. In an effort to keep momentum strong during this busy time, the executive committee voted to have active committee member, Olivia Newton serves as the chair of the Member Development Committee. We look forward to providing complete committee updates at the Summer Conference in Nashville.
Thanks to all who participated in the “roundtable discussions” at our Winter Conference in Anaheim. We prioritized all of the great feedback you provided us with and will be incorporating the highlights into our goals and objectives.
The agenda for our Summer Conference is shaping up nicely. The day and a half education and networking event will be held July 19-20, 2017 at the Marriott Vanderbilt in Nashville, Tenn. More information on our conference is available below along with the full agenda. We are happy to announce that early-bird registration is now open! Register today!
Please support our recruiting efforts by bringing a colleague to Nashville and inspiring them to join our mission of connecting, developing and mentoring Women in Auto Care!
See you in Nashville!
Tammy Tecklenburg, Spectrum Brands – Global Auto Care
Your Women in Auto Care President
